the route.

And how does one get to the Ponchartrain Hotel to experience these tours?

Take any highway to downtown Detroit.  Follow the signs to the Civic Center/Jefferson Ave.  Once on Jefferson Ave, locate Woodward.  Go north on Woodward.  After traveling north on Woodward for two blocks, head west on Congress.  Find a parallel spot on any of the streets around Congress.

The hotel is located on Larned, which is the southerly street running parallel to Congress.  Larned is between Congress and Woodward.
